Review: Thinksound ts01 Headphones

What if you were given a chance to own a pair of earphones and enjoy your music with less impact on the environment? Okay, I might have confused you in my intro, but I’m talking about the Thinksound ts01 headphones.

Wood has been known to produce better resonance which is why there are many musical instruments that are made of wood, particularly guitars. I remember, we used to own speaker systems which were enclosed in wood. Even recording studios I’ve been to use wood for that richer sound. Thus, it’s quite logical to make use of wood’s properties to create a listening device such as this Thinksound ts01 headphones.

According to the designer and how the company described this product, they wanted to come out with headphones that have minimal impact to the environment without sacrificing the sound quality.

Even the packaging of Thinksound is made with recycled materials, with a few plastic components and PVC-free cables.

It’s quite light too and I find that it fits more snugly in my ears. I’m not too comfy with in-ear earphones though, but I tried using this for about 30 minutes and my ears didn’t hurt a bit.

Now, let’s talk about the sound quality. Having reviewed various earphones and headphones before here on Pinay Reviewer, I can say that I was fairly impressed by Thinksound ts01′s performance. No, the bass is not as powerful as I would like, but it was pretty decent for a small pair of earphones.

As soon as I opened the box and read the description, I knew I was up for something awesome. I tested this with my bro, who’s a fellow audiophile, and boy, did we fall in love with this small and yet power-packed device!
