Website Promotion is Important

If you’re not yet aware, aside from being a blogger and social media manager, I am also a freelance web designer. Because of my hectic schedule, I have only dealt with a couple of web design clients and it’s alarming to know that most of them think putting up a website or an online space for their business is enough.

Online Marketing Techniques

As an online marketer, I know for a fact that with the tons of competing websites being launched every single day, the chances of your business’ website to be noticed is decreasing by the day. And if you are not familiar with how the internet works, especially social media, then, you should hire an expert to help you out.

Once your website is up and running, one of the important steps you can take in promoting it online or being seen is through SEO directory submission. This will definitely boost your business’ online presence.

When I started blogging, I honestly had no idea about the impact of directory or even search engine submissions. I’m just lucky to have such curiosity in SEO that I learned about the small tasks you can do regularly to promote your business and website online.

This is why I love my job as a social media manager. Somehow, there’s SEO involved. I help clients reach an audience who are ready to be engaged – those who already liked them on Facebook, followed them on Twitter or Google+, or added them to their lists on Foursquare. We want to keep our connection with them and hopefully, they’ll spread the word about our clients.

I enjoy the more personal approach of social media marketing. It’s important to note that businesses can get a lot of valuable feedback and information through their social media channels.

Moving forward, I hope more business owners will realize the power of social media marketing and website promotion in helping them drive more sales to their business. It’s a big, big online world out there, don’t you agree?

Preparing Early for the Holidays

It’s the first day of August and I’m experiencing that feeling again like I’m getting a fresh start. Some people may wait for New Year’s day before they come up with new resolutions to break (oh, c’mon! I know you’re guilty too!), but I have my own list EVERY month. And to be quite honest, it does help me make some much needed improvements in myself and get rid of old, negative habits.

Holiday vacation

This month though is different. If most people wait ’til the BER months to prepare or feel the holiday spirit, I am a little advanced in that department. I feel Christmas is near as early as August. It’s when I usually prepare or plan for Christmas and New Year celebrations. Each year, I try to make it as different as possible, but it’s saddening that in my family, they don’t seem to be that much interested. They feel like these holidays are overrated. :(

Maybe it’s that side of me who loves to shop for gifts during these holiday seasons who wants to be all merry. I’m one of the few people who prefer to buy others gifts than to receive. I love personalized or well thought-out presents.

A holiday gift checklist

The holiday season is a great time to take advantage of a wide variety of discounts, sales and even freebies! Finding popular voucher codes online can save you a lot of money too. There are hundreds of websites out there such as Net Voucher Codes Online that provide shoppers with promo codes that we can use to purchase almost anything we want online. There are Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals around Thanksgiving, a month before Christmas, which means you can plan and buy gifts ahead of time.

I know, the weather this week might not put you in the mood, but I always focus on the bright side. I’m hoping tomorrow, the sun will shine brightly again because I’m sure we all miss her. :)

Play On

Do you have a friend who has the same amount of passion for music as you do? I happen to be a very lucky woman having met my college friends who I played in a band with and my very close friends now who I share the same love for certain genres of music. My bro and I even seem to love the same music artists and songs. :)

Music loverAs I’ve written here before, I have keen interest in music. I fell in love with songs from the 80s and I’ve observed that my preferences only broadened over the years, but didn’t change at all. I still enjoy old songs whenever I hear them anywhere. The biggest regret I have though is not being able to find time to seriously learn how to play an instrument, especially the guitar.

I believe music will always be a universal language. With the advancement of technology, especially with the vast resources online, it’s easy to learn anything online and find information on various topics, like musicians friend coupon codes as gifts for your music-loving friends. Ken is even hinting on wanting a guitar for his birthday this year after seeing an online store that sells guitars at affordable prices. :D

No matter what level of musical abilities you have, you can find anything you need online to jumpstart your musical journey. YOLO – you only live once, and always remember that we’re never too young or old to develop our talents and skills! We only stop learning when we’re six feet below the ground. :)

Tips: Brighten Up your Workspace at Home

Fixtures and decorations can have a direct impact towards one’s mood, be it at home or at work. Most of us may have overlooked this fact. For work-at-home professionals like myself, decorating your workspace can be tedious and costly. On the lighter side, there are a lot of options available to work around this challenge, with very minimal expenses on your end:

  • Indoor plants. You can bring the outdoors inside with green plants for full sun at ProFlowers or any potted plant you have available. This can help set a relaxed work atmosphere while going through your usual tasks. Their bamboo plants are great green plant options for corporate gifts or gifts for him.

Brighten up your home office with plants, flowers, and more light

  • A vase full of flowers can do magic even at the dullest part of the room.
  • Revamp the lighting – you may opt for energy-saving lamps, available at any local Do-It-Yourself (DIY) stores.
  • Invest on organizer boxes, which are essential to keeping your workplace tidy and organized.
  • Revive the zen ambiance by setting up an area where you can burn candles or incense with mild scents. These can serve as air-fresheners or mosquito repellants.

I have just finished setting up my home workspace. I just hope these tips would also help in your plan of redecorating. Remember – relax and just think green!
